Applications for September 2026If your child is due to transfer to Secondary School in September 2026, you will need to apply online when the process starts in September. The exact dates for the application process will be updated here when we know them.

The local secondary schools all hold Open Events for you to take your child(ren) along to view what their school has to offer and you and and your child can have a look around and get a feel for each school before you make your decision. Secondary Admissions Booklet 2025
KENT TEST - 2026 entry
Applications for the secondary school intake of September 2026 will open in September 2025.
You will be able to name up to 4 secondary school preferences. A Kent grammar school can only consider your child for a place if you have named it on your application and your child has been tested and assessed suitable for admission.
To be assessed for grammar school you will need to register your child to sit the Kent Test. Registration is now open and you can apply here: https://kent.cloud.servelec-synergy.com/Synergy/Admissions.aspx
Please note that the deadline for registrations is midnight Tuesday 1 July 2025 and you will not be able to apply after this date.
Assessment is normally done through testing during the autumn term. This year, the tests are due to take place on Thursday 11th September 2025 for pupils in Kent primary schools.
